Next month, join us in celebrating the Olympics, as we look back at the
Olympiad of Animation from the 1984 games and take a look at the production
of The Great Adventures of Izzy, Film Roman's TV special featuring the Atlanta
Game's mascot.
Rita Street will profile Sue Loughlin and her new public service announcement
for Amnesty International, while Jill McGreal will look at John Coates and
his London-based TVC (TV Cartoons), which is closing after 40 years. In
addition, Giannalberto Bendazzi will help us celebrate the centennial of
Quirino Cristiani, the Argentine filmmaker who made the world's first animated
feature back in 1917
Also, William Moritz will take a look at Disney's The Hunchback of Notre
Dame, while Harvey Deneroff examines what's behind all those Hunchback clones
that are popping up at your local video store.
