Picture from Bendazzi's "One Hundred Years of Cinema Animation"
"Tale of the Fox," Starewicz' epic, took over 10 years to finish... it is based on a classic French story, and film reviewers of the time said it was beyond any animated film ever attempted... it approached poetry...

A reader named Sven Tegethoff sent me the picture at the left.

I've finally gotten a copy, and a review with clips is coming soon!
