I'm a 25y/o pretty new to animation, but I absolutely know I want to do it as a career. When I made my first walk cycle, even though it wasn't very good, it felt like pure magic watching it come to life - I have NEVER felt that giddy about my art before, it was amazing. I kow I want to do this for the rest of my life.
Unfortunately, I've been having trouble improving - there's only so much I can fumble through on my own, but I can't really afford classes. I'm in school (for free through my family's union) for becoming an art teacher, because a) it's free and b) it is easier and quicker to find a job as a teacher than as an animator, for me. I know I have to improve my skills a lot before I can hope to get hired, but it seems in order to do that you have to sink a TON of $$$ :C
I'm hoping to find a mentor that has experience and can help me through the basics. I'm dedicated and truly love the craft, I just need some guidance!
