Should I learn to use BLENDER... or my old copy of Flash CS3?

I have an old copy of Adobe CS3, which of course includes Flash CS3.

I'd like to get into animation as a hobby, but can't afford Adobe Animate, or any of the latest Adobe software.

...So I'm wondering -- should I learn to use something free (like BLENDER), or is Flash CS3 more useful?  (...And why?)

I'd like to focus on 2D animation.

Thank you for any answers.

As a hobby, I'd say flash is

As a hobby, I'd say flash is easy to start with but if it's just a hobby, nothing's stopping you from experimenting with both.
I don't know Blender and it's been years since I've used Flash but Flash is still used for broadcast animation. It's not because it's great, because it isn't, but it is realtively cheap for studios. CS3 does not have the bones.

Thanks for your answer.

What animation software do you use?
