I need some tips for software and how-to!

Hey!

I have been drawing and doodling a lot, but I have next to none experience with animation. I can`t seem to find any answers for my case, so I will try asking here on this forum.

I want to film my hand from above drawing something very simple (single colour) on a white background, the camera not moving at all. As the hand continues to move/draw, the previous drawing will "come to life". Any tips on how to start making something like that? What kind of software can i experience with? I`ve got some time to mess around, but I have no clue where to start. My goal is to make something that is very simple by nature but of good quality.

Thanks! ;)

I want to experiment doing

I want to experiment doing that too, but having troubles figuring out how to do it without spending stuff on camera equipment. But at the moment that's what I'm thinking so I can get the camera above my hand.

I think you'll probably need a decent camera and a tripod or something? I'm not to sure myself, sorry. Would love if anyone else had a good answer though!
