Is there the Sci-Fi screenwriters or filmmakers in Iran?
Sci-fi movies are made with budgets of up to 500$ million (even more!), and the whole Iranian movie industry, from the first day, has not produced such money! studios in the US franchise their biggest hits, but in Iran they don't!
However, there is a really good sci-fi film director and screen writer who has done stunning sci-fi short films with his own budget without the support of the film sponsors in Iran because the film producers and sponsors not have enough interest in this genre in Iran. Instead of the science fiction genre, They are more interested in drama, social and romance genre to show in the cinema and TV. It's very difficult to find an science fiction author in Iran. No sci-fi books have been published by an Iranian author and most published books are translated from English Sci_Fi books to Persian language in Iran. But there are a few sci_fi lovers who have been moving in the Science Fiction field that they work with love, without any financial support from film and game sponsors but created a very beautiful Sci_Fi films and contemplative for watching and critique!
Science Fiction film director and visual effects supervisor Ali Pourahmad was born in 1971 in Iran. He is one of the most famous and successful sci-fi film director from Iran. Since 2010 He has made a many short film in science fiction genre and also he has written a number of sci_fi script for his own films in Iran.
Ali Pourahmad currently working with the Hollywood film company Da Yamms Entertainment as vfx supervisor and film director of sci-fi future film " Towards The Future" that produced by Kai Destiny in Hollywood, California. Ali Pourahmad also is one of the best vfx supervisors in Iran with many stunning vfx shots for Hollywood and Bollywood films and music.
