Hello!
I am very new to this forum!
I am a 3D Modelling Student for Games and Media, and I am currently doing a module on research.
Our main topic is animation, but my chosen sub topic is backgrounds and environments!
I really want to learn how creators design and develop backgrounds in 2D and 3D.
I know that most start off with a simple storyboard process, then go onto refining those panels and colouring them.
But what I really want to know about is how they get seamless camera movements in 2D animations, such as in most anime pieces.
I am currently just about to actively research the new box office hit, 'Your Name'. But I am not even too sure what I am looking out for!
Any help is hugey appreciated :)
thank you again!

Are you talking about designing visual pans, or the software used, and how to calcualte beginning and ending composition within a background field or pan?
