New to the forum. I am hoping those of you with broadcaster experience might be able to help with my question.
For a new cartoon series I am involved with I have negotiated a music publishing deal with a big music publisher (one of the majors). I am very happy with the terms of the deal, 5 years, 85% in our favour, marketing help selling the music for complications/live dates etc all in the deal. There is also access to their catalogue and writers and their legal help across the globe collecting for us.
My question is, will having a music publishing deal affect what the broadcasters think when we come to pitch to them? Will they be bothered? we are hoping of course it will be a good thing.
Just wondered from your experience of selling to broadcasters really your thoughts of how they think.
