Hi, guys! I'm new here and I'm also new writing cartoon scripts and drawing storyboards for animation projects. My previous experience was with mobile/desktop games but I confess I'm loving the animated cartoon world. Anyway, the thing is I'm writing a script and I don't know how to measure the amount of time the speeches and actions have. How do I do that? Do I need to record the characters to get an idea?
How do I measure the duration of the animation I'm working on?

Recording the characters sounds like the best plan. Depending on how you read the script, the timing can be very different.
