I see a shift in your work from the first picture to the last. It is like you are changing your approach to how to draw your subject.

Do you have plans to do more work on one of your speed sketches?
I have noticed that your speed sketches are developing more details so do you have any point of proficiency you are working towards?

I read or heard somewhere of a person who sketches the setting first then works on the main object. Not was not a question, I just thought I would through that out there.

Thanks for the comments Wontobe, I do plan on more speed sketches. My goal with life drawing is to be as good as possible to where it becomes natural & I have a clear understanding of form, anatomy, weight, etc, etc. Soon I am going to be getting life drawing instruction, up until now I have had no life drawing instruction they have been just open classes.

Tonight I have open class life drawing again, I am going to do the setting first like you suggested, I never thought of that and it sounds like a excellent idea. Thank you for that, I will post up my progress as I scan them! I believe it's another costume model, this time a soccer player.

I like the feeling in the strokes. Really made me feel.

Thank you very much! Much more to come!

EDIT: Opps I still have some from 2 weeks ago, I didn't post!

I change the way I hold the pencil and try different ways of drawing the subject.

Here are some avatars of Chick n' Slice if anyone wants to use them for your chat programs, forum avatars, profile pics etc. Enjoy!

Finally going to start uploading some of my old toons to youtube. I found a way to save HD versions of my flash cartoons. Check out Twitch! Made this back in 2001.

Is this a course you are taking? I have heard of drawing clubs, maybe they don't call themselves clubs.

Here is my first Disney Feature Animation scene stacker! Got it for only $15 bucks at Disney's Cast Connection! To me this is priceless, I am so lucky to have found this! Finally I will have some organization! It is amazing to think such artwork from Lion King, Mulan and Lilo & Stitch sat on these shelves.

Now Crackerland, Chick n' Slice and everything else I make will be on these shelves!

Home on the Range study, "the Sheriff".

Started life drawing, been a few weeks! This was a clothed model, and the theme was Steampunk. I felt like I was there for only a few minutes, the 2 hours went by so fast! :( This sunday I might be doing more life drawing, I hope, if I can get out there.

You are doing really well. I just edit this post. I was wondering why do not show any original work but those can be seen at your web site.
