Cut scene

Hi guys,

Not sure exactly where to post this. Figured this would be the most logical.

I'm currently in production of a symbol-and-FBF based flash animated series that's largely comedy-based revolving around a group of super heroes.

I'm outsourcing (primarily because I think a different style works on a comedic level) a cut-scene of an "anime-style" fight between a girl with a glowing sword and a normal house lamp that has been magically transformed into a snake creature with a dragon's head.

Basically the lamp is transformed, girl pulls out her sword, dodges a few strikes, and then chops off the head of the snake. Animation would be anywhere from 15-20 seconds.

No sound, no color. I'm going to handle that end. Also character concepts and storyboards will be provided. However, since I'm not an anime specialist I'd like to leave something open to your interpretation.

It's going to be displayed at 24fps, so some denomination of that would probably work best (between 8,12 and 24), but so long as it can be exported cleanly to 24fps, it's fine. The idea was to keep the workflow in Flash, but I do have PS as well so if that's your tool of choice, that's fine.

This is strictly work-for-hire. You will be credited in the episode where your animation appears. We have a tentative date of "Spring", but remember that I'll need time to color what you've animated.

Pay is $50.00 USD with possibility of future work on later episodes.

If you think you might be interested, just reply with a link to your work.

Here is the series' prequel/promo that I'm currently using to generate interest in the project. Since it's transmedia and multi-genred, the promo does not reflect that the flash series specifically will be comedy, nor does it reflect exactly the style of the animated series.

If you have any questions, just ask! Additional info on the project can be found at http://www.facebook.com/OPAJAMAS

Also wanted to note that non-professionals are encouraged to reply! Even if you've not animated much of anything prior, I'm looking moreso to build long term relationships. We're also doing some comic book stuff, so even if you're not comfortable with FBF animation, there might still be a spot for you in our comic book stuff!

Hey, I remember seeing this on newgrounds.

I'm actually interested in doing this but I am kind of swamped with animation work at the moment. If I were to sign on to this I wouldnt even be able to start it until late February or march. What I'm interested in knowing is how far into spring are you looking at for a deadline?
