hi, i'm in the middle of creating a 2d animation short film, i'm painting backgrounds and animations in photoshop, and compositing them in after effects
there are a number of small scenes joined together.
the thing is, when joining more than one scene in the some composition, things start to get messy packed and slow, and also harder to edit with the music. i was wondering what was your workflow do you render each scene seperatly and then composite them rendered in a video editing program ? or is there a different workflow you might suggest?
Yes, I composite each scene separately in AE and then edit them together in Final Cut Pro. You'll have better audio options in FCP.
Remember to be careful/consistent with naming conventions. This will help you no end. You can always tweak your AE file, update your render and FCP will pick up the latest and greatest.
