Alright, trying it again. Here is my blocking pass in Maya for this month's contest. The big guy had one more pose that I need to do when he says kindness, and I am going to change the end a tad. Instead of having him walk out then back into screen, I'm going to keep him on screen and have him walk away. What do you all think?

Well I liked it but how are you going to polish it in under two weeks. Not to put any pressure on you. ;)

Farm it out to a studio in India ;)

Blocking plus pass. Added most of the antics and some breakdowns. Still haven't gotten to the big guy yet. I'll put in some work on him next.

The funness that is moving from stepped to splines. Ohhhhh joy!

It is coming a long really well. Do you think that the local University art department might let you use their machine to do a final render? I am sure it could kick it out in under an hour.

You could then work a lot close to the deadline. Just a thought.

My box is only a few months old and is pretty fast, so rendering wouldn't be a problem, but I most likely won't. But who know's never say never.

Any C&C's are still welcome. I'll like to keep at it. It's still could use a couple more polish passes, but we'll see.

I am glad to see that you are working on the December 11 second contest, very funny.

Do you ever watch the others while you are working on your stuff? I know I would not, it would through my focus way off.

Hope you don't mind me posting your link.

I have an idea about your clip, let me know if you wont to hear it.

Thanks for posting the link Wontobe. Of course, it's always great to get crits. I make no guarantees that I will address your notes, but I always like to hear peoples opinions.

No, I don't like looking at other people's entries. Especially not when I'm in the development stage of my shot. It's so hard to get someone else's choices out of my head when I see a good shot. Once I'm into the inbetween stages, I'll start to look at other people's entries. So seeing as how I'm going to be constantly in development mode for this month, I won't be looking at anyone's entries till it's time to vote. My goal for this month is to come up with and submit a new idea every 48 hours. I might pick an idea that I really liked and take it a step further and clean it up some for entry, but this is more an exercise for me.

I really liked the first one and my ideas was to have a hand in the bucket splashing the water before the dialog starts. Your third clip is my second favorite.

New one.

A day late, but I was busy decorating the house for Christmas.

A quick correction, the clip I like the most is Dec_003.

Your sun bather clip is still my favorite but this one is the next best. It looks to me like you are getting faster at producing your clips.

Here is Ape's latest clip.
