I went through VanArts 1 year 2d course a while back, and have continued on in the 2d field for about 5 years now. I'm looking for a similar 3d program in America (preferably California).
Anyone know of any? I've done some research and can only come up with 2-3 year Degree programs.

There is always Animation Mentor; they are animation heavy and software light, not sure how long that is but it's also probably more than a year. 3D tend to be longer because because it's not like picking up a pencil; you also need to learn the software.
They are assuming you need to learn how to animate as well; put the two together and its' like learning to build a piano and learning how to play it at the same time.
Good luck,

We're in Toronto, not the US, and offer a one year Advanced Diploma in 3D Computer Animation and Production. Your year of training, plus 5 years animating professionally might make you a potential candidate. Check out the website, www.maxthemutt.com. Applications are being reviewed now.
Thank's for that information,I'll see on your web site.

It is a good idea to get a certificate program in America, because it will give you a chance to get into the field that you want. Also I think it will be very helpful in your future career. Visit this american flag svg source to get more templates. I have learned a lot about computers through my certificate course in computer science. The best thing about this program is that it lets me get my knowledge out of my head and put it into practice by actually doing things with computers.
