So, it's been out for a bit... what did you guys think?
Overall, I liked it a lot. I thought it had something of the same problem Wall-e had. The beginning was just too genius, and outshone the rest of the film. I loved the character design, subtle animation, colors, imagery. Some amazing shots. Lou Romano did a great job. The second act seemed weak though. I don't really think the bird was needed overall. It was in there a lot, but didn't really seem important. The connection the boy had to it seemed a bit forced.
Didn't see it in 3d. Any thoughts on that version?
What you said is pretty much what I feel. I measure a movie by whether I wont to see it a second time or that I might even buy a copy. I am glad I saw it but I wont be going back and I will not by a copy.
