magic touch screens, do they actually work?

While searching the internet for a cheap cintiq knockoff, I came across a couple of product sites for these clear acrylic screens that latch onto your monitor/laptop and convert it to a tablet/touch screen. For under $200, they may be that cheap alternative that i've been searching for. But I'm still not sure. has anybody here tried one of these things before. Does anybody know if they really work?

here are the links:

It is going to be the difference between using a paint-brush (Cintiq) or finger-painting (that thing you linked). The documentation repeatedly compares it to a tablet PC which does not approach the sensitivity of Wacom. I'm not saying you can't work with one of these screens, but it will difficult to do any detailed or refined work.I'm also willing to bet it is rather inaccurate considering it is a screen that attaches to something else as opposed to a hard flat surface.
