UK uni student

Hi all,
I just joined this awesome forum having found it on google.
Im 20 years old and from the UK, studying media technology at Oxford Brookes University. Since i was about 2ft tall ive been mad about animation. At university im currently learning about it all and its fascinating, a program i have recently used was called solidworks. i dont know if any of you have heard of it but it was brilliant, and i did an animtaion of my SLR camera rotating and exploding.
One day I hope I will be living and working in LA for dreamworks or PIXAR animations. I'd love some advice anyone has on what to do after university before i reach my goal. I'm prepared to do work in London for a few years first or anywhere else, Im just not sure on where to start!!
Any advice would be brilliant!
