Hello everybody!

Some months ago, I finished a personal animation project. It's a short movie. Please tell me your opinion about it:

Mister Gluesome:
WMV : http://www.davidsaber.com/new/mr_gluesome.wmv (3Mb)
MPEG2 : http://www.davidsaber.com/new/mr_gluesome_mpeg2.mpg (21Mb)

See ya soon!

I watched this video...and then watched part of your demo reel.

The frog animation on the demo is pretty cool.

This one appears to be a bit of a walk cycle test...with a little "story" at the end.

I've done a little 3D animation walk cycles and I know it can be very hard to get it looking natural and "right".

With that said your walk cycle here is just ok. IMO keep working on getting more natural movement like what I with some of the frog movements on your demo.

Right now the walk cycle looks a bit stiff. Maybe more flex to the feet and more of a twisting back and forth to the body as his hands swing side to side might help. And unless it's part of the character...his legs kick a bit out to the side on ech step.

Just some thoughts.

I know you can accomplish all that because when your character see's himself in the the mirror and turns to run...it's has a much more natural look and feel there.

The modeling was cool but the animation is a little bereft of substance, I'd like to see more action. I liked the frog video.

Hello, thanks you 2 for the crits :)
Yes indeed I have been working on the walk cycle less than on the final animations. I'll try to do it best next time!
See you and have a nice weekend!

Make the monster lip sync and riverdance to that soundtrack. I'd like to see that!
