It depends. What do you want to do - 2D, 3D, Flash, stop-motion? A combination? All of the above?
Generally speaking, you want as fast a processor, as much RAM and hard-drive space, and the best video card you can afford.

If you want a Mac, go with MacBook Pro. They're designed more for the heavy lifting you'll need the computer to do.
