You are pretty daring sir, religion is a very 'touchy' subject, especially when it comes to the basis of it and it's eternal meaning. I believe vicarious is the word they use, when they refer to your own experiences as shared with someone else, i'm not sure but I think that's what it means.
People will ask all sorts of questions, is the creator really religious, is he a christian, does he really know anything about god, is the film a legitimate and strong reflection of the creator's perspective.
But you do what you have to do, I love the story and it is one I believe should be developed and put on the air, you have a great premise for an epic television series.
You go for it.
