Mech MMORPG - Looking For Animators

Team name:
Wardog Studios

Project name:
Force of Arms

Brief description:
Force of Arms is a mech oriented MMORPG that has already had a demo presented at the Austin Gaming Conference. This is a serious project composed of professional and dedicated team members. We are looking for talented animators who would enjoy working on a project like this and who are also dedicated individuals. The project is currently a spotlight game of The Multiverse Network (http://www.multiverse.net). We're the game with the walking mech in their banner at the bottom and are in their featured games. ;)

Target aim:
A commercial MMORPG.

Compensation:
This is a deferred compensation situation and we would like to be very upfront with that fact. Most of our team is composed of people who have successful "day jobs" and who can afford to work in such a situation. We realize that this scenario will not work for everyone. You do risk time invested into the project should the project fail to generate profit. However, work that is done for the project remains the property of those who create it and can be used freely for portfolios, etc. We are willing to place agreements in writing and have established legal representation.

We are aware that some deferred payment situations have went sour for people and that has left a certain stigma. We cannot counter that with a single post, but we do invite people with any interest to contact us and learn more about us. We are also quite willing to speak to people via voice to discuss things and answer questions.

Technology:
The game is being created for PCs and is being developed on the Multiverse platform. Original 3d assets will be used. Python, Java and C sharp are technologies used in the project at this time.

Talent needed:

Animators/Texture Artists/Concept Artists - We have a talented modeling team, but are looking for additional talent in the areas of animation/rigging and texturing. There is room for people who are skilled with both high polygon counts and low polygon counts. We have the need for cinematic animators as well as animation within the game (the more pressing need for us currently).

Team structure:
Our team is divided into numerous sub teams that focus on particular areas of development. Most of our team members have professional experience in information and computer technology frields.

Original model sample (would show more, but forums limit number of images in a post):

We believe this can be a very fun and rewarding opportunity for a person who is interested in this genre or who would like experience working on a project of this size and scale. We'll be hoping to hear from interested people.
