Hi, I'm new here. This seemed to be the most appropriate section to post this in, but I'm not sure. If I was wrong, please move this, mods.:o
Anyway, I'm interested in doing some underscores for animation (mostly shorts, although I could discuss other stuff), for free. Obviously, I do want a place in the credits though.
I'm able to do several music styles (most of the stuff in the sample below is from an 1980's-themed retro cartoon though), and I could do either a reusable background music library, or music directly tailored to the onscreen action. I've had over 10 years of formal music training, although I don't currently intend to make a living off of it or anything.
Here's a sample of my previous music (mostly stock cues, not written for a specific action)...

BTW, even if you're not interested, please don't be too harsh... After all, I'm not expecting to actually make money off this. I'm trying to a) have fun and possibly learn more about scoring, and b) help anybody who wants original music for their cartoon but has no money for it.
Well, that's a switch: someone comes here and offers work for free, rather than asking for it. ;)
Welcome Cap! Yours is a very generous offer. I kinda wish I had something that needed scoring right now, although I wouldn't let you do it for free. Good luck!
I'm gonna listen to this as soon as I get home from work tonight. I'm in need of a musician and you work for the greatest price in the world :D

Wow, that music is great. I'm emailing you right now.

Finally pulled it off. Great stuff, wish I had something in the works right now. Nice tunes. And very generous offer.
