Hi i have been seeing alot of advertizment for aniboom.coom. Is it realy that great? can you realy win prizes just for entering? or is some kind of catch? i just need info about that site.
There's no way of finding out until October 2006. For the time being, aniboom.com is only taking in films. The site says the time limit of the film is 15 minutes. I asked permission to post my 41 minute animated film, "Machines Don't Cry", and they said okay but didn't explained if that's temporary or not.

Just to sort things out ill give you the main idea:
-You can submit any number of movies, in any animation style, to one of the following categories: Funny, Drama, Music Videos, Experimental, and Crappy.
-Starting on 1st September, the portal will be open for viewing and rating of movies by the general public and a prestigious panel of professional jurors.
-The grand prize is 25,000$ dollars plus five additional prizes of 5,000$ for best movie in each of five categories.
-In addition to the competition prize money, were also offering you a revenue share model –that will pay you a percentage of our advertising share (depending on the numbers of views you will receive).
-You can delete your movie at any given time from the competition (except if your a finalist)- We will only screen your movie on the site and may use part of it for advertising the site. If we will want to deviate from the above written – we will send you a contract that you will be able to accept or decline.
