Help! I was hired by a company to make eight ,six minute anima tics,of a character of my creation. I'm guessing at what I should ask for when it comes to a budget, title,etc. I know you're probably busy, so any help you could give will be much appreciated,and if not please let me know of any websites or publications I could turn to.
The anima tic is for a kids show,and will function as a short,within the format. I created the story and character, and will be the main artist (pencils,story board)and inker,while my partner colors. We're drafting up a contract and budget, but aren't to sure about some things:
-how much to charge for man hours
-title/credit (art director,story...)
-long terms (if the show gets big what am I entitled to for the character)
I work as a freelance illustrator,so these are things that came to my head.

estimate the number of work hours you are expecting to put in and take a reasonable number you think works and multiply with it. or you could say it will take me 4 weeks to do this and i will charge X amount a week.
as for ownership it depends on what kind of a deal they are willing to make. you will have to neogtiate that i reckon.
