UNIFEST´06, the most important date for university students in the world, opens summons for reception of shortfilms
[B][I]The International University Shortfilm Festival Unifest bets on a major internationalization, on having also accepted works in English language.
The festival will take place in Real Sitio y Villa de Aranjuez (Madrid) from the 10th to next July 14th.[/I][/B]
2nd UNIFEST's edition is already in action. Until the next May 10 the call remains opened for the reception of those shortfilms made by university students of the whole world. The rules, as well as the application form, can be downloaded on the festival web page www.unifestival.com
This year's objective is to reach for a major internationalization in participation. For this reason in this edition works are accepted in English, making easier the whole international community flow.
On the other hand, the Official Section in this edition is composed of three categories: Fiction, Animation and Documentary, so that prizes are established as follows: Fiction category (first and second prizes) valued at 1000 and 500 Euros in that order; and Animation and Documentary categories will be rewarded with 500 euros each one. There will be also two more prizes. The winner of the prize Aranjuez will receive 600 euros and the winner of the other prize titled “La voz del Pueblo†will obtain a Mini DV Camera thanks to audience election of the best shortfilm.
As an expression platform for university students, Unifest will exhibit all shortfilms received in the Unimaraton Section.
Unifest 06 will organize different courses and workshops that will take place during days in wich UNIFEST takes place, as well as discussions with some well-known film members and academic experts in order to improve shortfilm makers education.
Organized by the Association UNIPROYECT, UNIFEST ' 06 will take place in Real Sitio y Villa de Aranjuez (Madrid) from 10 to 14 of next July. The Festival is sponsored by Aranjuez's town hall and Rey Juan Carlos University.
