Hey All,
I'd like to show you an animation I did with 2 other people for my graduation.
We worked on it for 7 months, 25 hours a week, with homework and internships running besides it. We pulled it off, I hope you like it. It's our first short with a character so we hope we did I good job.
It's about a balloon who takes his fate into his own hands and tries to free himself from is current situation.
We are nominated for a the Zuid Hollandse Designersprice. We hope to inform you about the results on the 24th of november. Enjoy the movie.

Great job, Jesper! A very enjoyable movie. You nailed the animation of the balloon's weightlessness. And that little jig that the balloon did at the end put a smile on my face! Nice camera work too. Good luck on your nomination!

Only thing I noticed is the diffused lighting you used. It kind of looked like the whole film was a dream or something.

It was our purpose to create somekind of dreamsetting. We didn't want to add realism into the story, because it's a fantasy, it's a fantasy film. Animation reality. So I hope we did a decent job to get that feeling into the short.
We are planning to set up a new short, this time with a budget and I hope more time available to make it. We want to get the Dutch Animation Market on it's feet. We want to get more entertainment from Dutch soil.
