Beyond Flash

Hi, I'm new to animation and have recently taken a Flash course. I felt a little out of place because I was there for animation and not specifically "web animation." Is Flash the be-all, end-all for 2D digital animation? I have some experience with a program called Moho which allows you to assign a bone structure, but no one that I've talked to has been familiar with it. Li'l help?

there are no "bones" in flash unfortunately. That's because flash is made for web developer's and it has been artists that have picked it up and done something creative with it. While macromedia is aware of this, we are not their true target market and so I doubt that an addition of something like "bones' will come to pass in flash any time soon.
