Flash tutorial website recommendations

Hey all,

I'm interested in taking a closer look at Flash. I haven't seriously used it since version 4. Since I'm thinking of heading that route in the future career-wise (and Phacker's enthusiasm for it), I've thought I'd give it another try with my next short film.

I was wondering if you all have favorite Flash animation tutorial sites? And yes, I can google and have, and I've been looking at the bazillions of websites out there. I'm just hoping for some help sorting through the good from the bad, looking for the gems in the rough, those sites that you wouldn't be the Flash genius you are without.

Some of the things I'm looking for:
-lip synch
-traditional frame by frame animation
-working with illustrator
and basically any tips that would help use Flash to its utmost potential for animation

Anyway, thanks for listening.

Some good discussions, and experiments to think about.

I used to spend a lot of time at FlashFilmmaker.com, but lately Ibis has gotten to a point where he's recommending other programs over Flash, so I stopped going there since most of the information was no longer applicable.

I learned a lot about the drawing tools in Flash from http://www.vectorkid.com/tutorials.html .

And there is always the movie section at Flashkit.com where you can download open source files and tear them apart to see how things work.

Excellent sites guys, thanks! Keep 'em coming.

Phacker, that forum looks like fun. I dig the sketching challenge part.

Animated Ape, on the demos for Cartoon Solutions are the sketches/roughs done in Flash or scanned in from some where else? Not that it really matters, I'm just curious.

Thanks for the plug Animated Ape! Here is the direct link to the tutorial section which is found in the Animators clubhouse portion of the site:

All of the work on the site, including the demo reel was created first by sketching with a wacom drawing tablet directly into flash and then cleaned up with the tablet as well. I haven't animated with paper since 2001.

I have always said when I win the lottery I'm donating a HUGE chunk to The Nature Conservancy. I'll be sure to make at least part of it in your name. :)

This isn't a tutorial, but it's fun example showing that bone systems are entirely possible in Flash. If it's stops after downloading and doesn't automatically play right click and hit play.
