the worst thing that can happen to an artist is being unable to atleast see the interesting things happening in animation industry,like getting to watch award winning animated movies of independent filmmaker's,the least you know.it is HELL if one could not better end one's carreer as an artist.

Trady, where do you live? Lots of stuff tours, and there are organizations like ASIFA and SIGGRAPH that show shorts at their gatherings, but you have to be relatively close to a metro area to take advantage. I went and saw The Animation Show last weekend, but I live in a fairly urban area.
