Hi Kevin and Moon,
I wanted to let you and the rest of the group know about my new book Animation Writing and Development due out in February from Focal Press. It's already available for pre-orders on Amazon.com at an introductory sale price.
I started at Hanna-Barbera through a company training program that covered all aspects of animation, and I continued to take classes during the eight years that I worked there. I was taught animation writing and development (and storyboard) by the H-B staff during the classic years of the 80s. I continued to learn writing from many Hollywood gurus, and I still attend a group called Storyboard that analyzes top movie scripts as they are about to be released. My earlier background was in dancing, acting, and a little directing. Hope the book is a help to some of the co-op members! The publisher's press release follows.
