Out of curiousity, what types of things do all of you like to see or find helpful in a tutorial? A step-by-step technical instruction? A overview of how someone works, concept to execution? Like i said, I was curious.

Thanks for the feedback.
:)

You know, jchap, if I had to describe your stuff with as few words as possible, I'd have to pick 'slick' and 'suave'. (In the most positive sense, naturally. Flashman is right, the whole wide world of caricature, illustration and media design is open to you!)

Your a machine! I knew it! Your work never ceases to amaze my eyes. As for a tut, how about a concept to final step by step example. That would be great. Cheers

Thanks everybody.
I've been pretty quite these past few days, so here's one from tonight...

Thanks Flashman and Jabberwocky. I really appreciate your comments. They are WAY flattering.

Here are a few somewhat recent paintings...

I agree with Danimation on both counts. One ur amazing at what u do and two a step by step from conception to finale would be cool.

J,

haven't been on this sketch forum for ages, pretty much since it started, and thus haven't seen your work.

Just gone through the whole thread and read every word, looked at every image.

I knew you were good, but since looking at all this work, I think I've realised something. (for me)

It may sound obvious, but you just seem to really love it and enjoy what you're doing. I can feel the enjoyment and tongue-and-cheek aspect in many of your pieces, and the random inspiration is truely original.

I don't know who it was who said something about your work and whether you're challenging or surprising yourself. To an extent I understand this, but at the end of the day, if you're producing fun work, which makes others happy, laugh and generally enjoy a moment, you're hitting all the right notes in my book.

You should seriously think about exhibiting your work when you build a significant collection, as many people would enjoy your style, with it's popular contemporary-but-not-to-serious illustrative style. Set yourself up a web site just as a gallery, dedicated to your work. If you can find the time to get your name and work around, I think it would be very worthwhile.

And you'd also be a great concept artist for Film/TV. Send some stuff off to Cartoon Network or some studios, maybe an idea or two. See what they say.

Keep up the great work,

Adam (now *officially* inspired)

That would be fun, Scattered.

In that first one, I see a gifted sense of what makes for good overall color integration.

In the second I see something we all intuitively do and only realize we do through expanded awareness. Good job on all accounts.

Though it's not a very good scan, here's a painting from last week...

Wickedly fun work Chap! I love the diseases. You should have done the design work for Osmosis Jones. Kudos bro!

Thanks guys. I really appreciate that.
Also, thanks for the input on the tutorial. I asked some friends the same question so I'm starting to get a pretty good idea of the route I'll go when I eventually start working on it.
I may start this weekend, as a matter of fact... it all just depends on if I can get everything else I need to do done.

Thanks again!

One from this weekend... looks like an old passport photo to me.

wow, Jared...you are good :) Love your artwork.

have a good one!

Wow. Nice drawings! I love your style. It also reminds me of that show that was on MTV called Clone High (I think).

It's definitely an eggplant, how are you going to use it?

Pat Hacker, Visit Scooter's World.

Hmm... good question.
The idea for an eggplant monster came from my friend last nite. I'm not sure where the sky that he is sitting in came from...
He was alot of fun to draw, so I may make a series of surreal vegetable monster portraits... that sounds like fun.

:)

One from a while back...

2-D animation will never die. The invention of photography did not kill painting. Why would animation be any different?

Great work on this bg! I like how it has elements of 2d and 3d, that's very tricky to pull off, and you did it perfectly! Kudos Chap

A painting from tonight:

As always, thanks for comments. I apprecaiate them. To answer your question Jurjen, the tutorial will be coming out as soon as things slow down enough for me to work on it. Right now things have been pretty crazy and they won't be slowing down until sometime in March. I'll keep you posted as things progress.

A recent one in Flash.

Awesome work as always Chap! Kudos

Thanks Noodle Incident. I've never seen that show, but I can kinda remember hearing about it when it was on. By the way, is you name taken from the infamous (but not fully known) "Noodle Incident" from Calvin & Hobbes? Just curious.

Sketchbook stuff from this weekend.

Makes me want to see Clone High again.

Dan, you make me blush. Thanks man.

One from tonight...

Much thanks as always Dan and Cavy. I appreciate your comments.
Here's one from tonight.
