Creating good smoke on d3MAX 5.1

Dear friends,

I'm doing a voluntary work for a video documentary, as part of the Animation Coop group. But I'm having a slight difficulty.

I'm using Volume Fog and gizmos to create some smoke that comes out of a few pipes in the model I'm creating, but it just doesn't look right. I wanted to create somw puffy rounded smoke that actually looked like it's coming out of the pipes. My volume fogs don't look like anything else but... "volume fogs created on 3dmax" if you know what I mean.

I also tried to create a map with "smoke" for opacity, but it did'nt work either. Still looking for that puffy effect.

Hope anyone can help me out on this one...
