Japanese Animation, Film, and Art eXpo (JAFAX)

The ninth annual Japanese Animation, Film, and Art eXpo (JAFAX-pronounced JAY-fax) will be on the Allendale Campus of Grand Valley State University with the purpose of introducing the general public to Japanese culture through the use of their popular entertainment media -- namely anime (animation) and manga (comics) -- while giving current anime fans a place to find others with similar interests.
Anima Mundi Web 2004

Anima Mundi Web 2004 is the 5th edition of the Internet Animation Contest of the International Animation Festival of Brazil, Anima Mundi. The contest is open to works specially created for the Internet, which may or not be previously released, produced by professional or amateur animators. There is no restrictions on themes and genres. Works are accepted in a single category: animations produced in the ".swf" format only and not exceeding 1MB in size. A cyber-jury -- anyone who registers online in the Anima Mundi Website -- and the professional jury, will decide the winners.

Peabody Awards

The 63rd Annual George Foster Peabody Awards recognize outstanding achievement and excellence in television, radio and Internet programming. More than 1,000 entries from 30 different counties are received annually including news reports, documentaries, entertainment shows, public service programs and children's programs -- although awards are given solely on merit, without regard to specific categories. Judging is done by the 15-member Peabody Board, which includes TV critics, television practitioners, and experts in culture and fine arts from around the world.

4th Annual West Virginia Flash Animation Festival
