Digital-Tutors will host Oklahoma City's upcoming 3December, the worldwide annual celebration of 3D and the creative professionals, art enthusiasts, educators, and students who create computer graphics. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, 3December is being held in cities across the world including Tokyo, Melbourne, Paris, London, Seoul, New York City, Las Vegas, and Oklahoma City.

3December will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 3-7 p.m. at Harkins Theater, located at 150 E. Reno Avenue, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The 3-D Entertainment Summit will take place at the Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, California, December 1-2, 2008. The event is the first fully dedicated forum bringing the business of 3-D entertainment into focus.

Side Effects Training: Houdini with Jeff Wagner

This 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. training session is a lecture presentation where various visual effects solvers will be demonstrated. This will include rigid body dynamics and particles. During the second half of the class building digital assets and Houdini's lighting tools will be covered. There will also be a discussion on rendering and shader building.

Participants should be familiar with Houdini 9, and should have some familiarity with RBDs and POPs. This workshop is for the TD or Artist focused on visual effects in production.
