Thursday 6 April 18.15 Tia Kratter will talk about her experiences as a digital painter and art director at Pixar. Tia joined Pixar Animation Studios in 1993 as a Digital Painter during production of the studio's first feature film, Toy Story. She has subsequently held the Shader Art Director role on four other films, including the upcoming Disney presentation of a Pixar film Cars.
Cartoons on the Bay is an international event with awards, workshops, lectures, TV and theatrical previews, and events centering on the ever-changing world of television animation. The Pulcinella Awards Competition is open to all products in animation for television and the Internet, including pilots of series. The Competition is also open to short films.
Wednesday 5 April 18.15Animator Dan Mason will reveal the creative process at Pixar studios. Dan has been an animator at Pixar Animation Studios since November of 1996 and has worked on all of the feature films including A Bugs Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and most recently Cars. Dan will also be available to talk about the show-stopping Toy Story Zoetrope, one of the many highlights of the Pixar: 20 Years of Animation exhibition.
Monday 3rd April 18.15Loren Carpenter, Senior Scientist at Pixar Studios, will talk about his Academy Award winning work in creating new technology that has enabled Pixar productions to be so fantastical, yet believable. Loren will also be talking about his work on the jaw-dropping 21st Century Zoetrope, one of the main features of the Pixar: 20 Years of Animation exhibition.

'Pixar - 20 Years of Animation' will be opening at the Science Museum in London on April 1st 2006. The exhibition is an exclusive look at how Pixar creates their most memorable characters and stories through over 250 original artworks and memorable immersive experiences. But be quick - the exhibition is only at the Science Museum for 10 weeks before it travels to Tokyo! To celebrate the exhibition, the Science Museum will be holding a series of events where visitors can talk fact to face to animation and visual effects experts.

Stop Motion is animaton that uses, puppets, claymation, moving lego men etc . Movies like "A Nightmare Before Christmas", "James and the Giant Peach", and shows like "Wallace and Grommit", "Gumby", and "Thunderbirds" all use stop-motion animation.
Learn how to create your own stop-motion animation shorts in this 10 day program. Students will work together on a project that will end with a completed film.

Frames Per Second second annual online charity auction will benefit Canadian Cancer Society: 100% of profits from an eBay auction will be donated to fight cancer. The charity auction cause is selected by the readers of fps earlier in the year. Anyone with Internet access will be able to bid on animation-related items put on eBay by fps. These items include books, CD soundtracks, animation software, posters, pins and DVDs.
