ANIMA'09 -- 5th Cordoba International Animation Festival
ANIMA'09 will take place in the city of Cordoba, Argentina, from October 8 through 10, 2009. The festival is organized by the Centro Experimental de Animacion and the Secretaria de Extension Universitaria, National University of Cordoba.
This fifth edition of the ANIMA will be dedicated to exploring the concept of Identity Traits. Therefore, we open the following:
2009 ArtCAM User Group Meeting
Delcam will hold its 2009 ArtCAM User Group Meeting at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kansas City, from 30th September to 2nd October. The event will open with a special networking evening at Hallmark Cards, one of the largest ArtCAM users in North America. This will be followed by two days of workshops on the latest versions of the software.
Call For entries : Celeste Prize
Celeste Prize is a unique international contemporary arts competition in which artists decide who wins the 40,000 Euro (US$50,000) award money. The 46 finalists are chosen by a panel of international art critics: Mark Gisbourne, Adrienne Goehler, Victoria Lu, Claudio Sinatti and a panel of consultants with experience in audiovisual performance. These 46 finalists themselves choose the ultimate winners in each category. Exhibition and awards ceremony to be held in Berlin, Germany, September 2009.

Design Festa Vol. 29
Design Festa is a biannual international art event, started in 1994. It is open to all artists from all over the world to exhibit their creative talent freely. 7,000 artists working in a variety of mediums will be present, turning the two day event into artistic chaos. There will be booth areas(2,600 booths), an outdoor live-show stage, an indoor stage, a mini-theater space and a restaurant and cafe/bar area, all for your enjoyment during these two days filled with art, energy, excitement and discovery.

Comic and Psychedelic Art at Stuttgart
A handful of top-class artists who have been greatly influenced by the animated film genre will be present at the Galerienhaus during the upcoming 16th Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (May 5-10, 2009). In addition to specially chosen multimedia artists from the region, the Japanese designer Keiichi Tanaami and the internationally popular German-Japanese Kota Ezawa will be presenting their works.

8th School Of Sound
This special media event puts the spotlight on the soundtrack. First held in 1998, it has featured creatives working at the highest levels of media and the arts including Walter Murch, Ren Klyce, Lynne Ramsay, Graham Hartstone, Christina Kubisch, Ken Loach, Carter Burwell, Tom Holman, Lucrecia Martel, Gabriel Yared, Richard Leacock, the Brothers Quay, Manfred Eicher and many others.
Visual Music Marathon 2009
The MFA Computer Art Department at School of Visual Arts, the New York Digital Salon and the Department of Music and Multimedia Studies at Northeastern University present the New York premiere of the Visual Music Marathon, a 12-hour festival showcasing 120 works by contemporary digital artists and composers from around the world. The event offers an encyclopedic look into the burgeoning practice of visual music, which combines animation and musical composition.

The Art of Sketch Theatre
