THE BIG SNOOZE was Bob Clampett's last Bugs Bunny film. His name was left off the credits as he had left the studio. Today this film has been censored for television and home video. This is your chance to see it as Clampett made it.

Bob Clampett visited Toronto in 1979 for a three day event, ANIMAFEASTIVAL, sponsored by Reg Hartt. The talks he gave have been transcribed and published. A copy is available from The Cineforum for $25 plus $10 shipping and handling from The Cineforum. It is the perfect gift for every animation artist.

7th Siena International Short Film Festival

The 7th Siene International Short Film festival is calling for entries. There will be two International Competitions open to all genres: animation, documentary, fiction, experimental. One will be dedicated to films shot in 16 or 35mm with optical sound. The other, to films with digital recording systems (DV, Mini DV, DV CAM, Beta Digital, DVC Pro, HD 24P, and all shooting formats in native digital). Therefore Flash, 3D and work generated exclusively on computer hard disk will not be eligible.

E-magicians - The European Gathering of Young Digital Creation

The European Gathering of Young Digital Creation announces its call for entries for student video and multimedia works, as well as registration for Chained Animation, a collective work done on site at the festival. Students have to produce 10 seconds of computer animation from an original imposed image, then all sequences will be edited end-to-end to form a series of animations that will be screened during the closing event.
