The Garden State Film Festival

The Garden State Film Festival was founded to promote the art of filmmaking on all levels by providing a wide variety of film, video and animated works, as well as to provide educational programs in the creative arts to the public by industry leaders.

Deadline for entries is February 15, 2003 with categories: Feature Length, Documentary, animation in both short and feature length, student short, Music Video and commercials.

The event will take place April 11-13th at the Paramount Theater on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ.

36th Annual WorldFest-Houston Intl Film/Video Festival

Founded in August 1961, WorldFest is the 3rd oldest competitive International film festival in North America. We gave first honors and awards to Spielberg, George Lucas, Randall Kleiser, Ridley Scott, Ang Lee, The Coen Brothers, Robert Rodriguez and many more. We screen just 55 new features and around 100 new shorts, in 35mm and digital video DLP projection in a large commercial theatre complex. There is great networking as more than 450 intl filmmakers attend, and the general audience exceeds 25,000 in the 10 day event.

Bologna Children's Book Fair

Taiwan International Animation Festival

Taiwan International Animation Festival (TIAF) is the first festival of its kind in Taiwan. TIAF is a non-competitive festival open to all animated films and makes no distinction between formats, running time or technique. No entry fee is required.

TIAF is organized by Chinese Taipei Film Archive, a non-profit association that is sponsored by the Government Information Office in Taiwan. The Archive is committed to collecting, restoring and preserving Taiwan's motion picture heritage and assists the development of the film industry in Taiwan.

Digifest

Digifest is an annual festival focussing on interactive digital media. The up-coming Digifest will host a design competition called "New Voices" where New Media artists are invited to submit innovative ideas within Film, Web, 3D animation and Digital Gaming. The winners will be given the opportunity to present their work at this four day festival, as well their submission will be printed in the annual Digifest catalogue. The New Voices submission deadline is December 1, 2002. Winners will be notified in January, 2003 and the festival will be held on March 26 - 29, 2003.
