Castlemaine Fringe Festival Carnival of Chaos 2007

Begins: April 1, 2007

On the cultural "fringe" of the Castlemaine State Festival in Victoria, Australia you'll find the "Digital Chaos Gallery" featuring selected works from the binary realm, with a focus on 'local people'. We are seeking 2-D, 3-D and multi-dimensional art - especially work that expands the definition of "digital art".

The Streaming Festival is a progressive film festival that takes place exclusively on the internet. Films are streamed full screen with high image quality.

The Streaming Festival presents carefully selected independent films to a worldwide audience. Film-makers and viewers from all over the world can join in and share without any costs for tickets, subscription fees or travel costs.

The festival encourages the development of media technologies with a special emphasis on streaming media. The festival wants to create a platform for audiovisual art.

BOBTV FILM AND TV PROGRAMMES MARKET

Optronica 2007

Begins: March 1, 2007

PlayStation teams up with the BFI and leading audiovisual artists/producers Addictive TV with new-media curators Cinefeel to present Optronica, a hybrid of music festival and film festival taking place over five days in March 2007. Optronica explores the fusion of music and visuals, and features live audiovisual performances, screenings, talks, workshops and related special events. The festival will be held at the BFI IMAX and the newly renovated National Film Theatre, which will re-open as BFI Southbank on 1 February.

24th Annual William S. Paley Television Festival

The Museum of Television & Radio will present the 24th annual William S. Paley Television Festival. This Festival, named for William S. Paley, founder of both the Museum and CBS, celebrates television's rich and diverse programming and the creative process behind it. During each evening, the audience views episodes or highlights of the featured work and has the opportunity to ask questions of the cast and creative team or the individual involved in its production.

East Lansing Children's Film Festival 2007

Begins: February 23, 2007

The 10th Annual East Lansing Children's Film Festival, one of the premiere children's festivals in the Midwest, is dedicated to showcasing films from around the globe that enrich, inspire and entertain children of all ages without violent or exploitative subject matter. Last year over 100 films were shown from 19 different countries. The festival takes place on the campus of MSU, along with local theater venues. Design Festa vol.24

Design Festa started in 1994, and is a freestyle International Art Event open to artists from all over the world to exhibit their creative talent. Design Festa is the biggest art event in Asia! The event features a wide variety of creative work, including painting, sculpture, fashion, installations, multimedia, film-screening, live music, and performance art. Design Festa is held twice a year at Tokyo Big Sight, Japan's largest exhibition venue.

fps 3rd Annual Online Animation Charity Auction

From Wednesday, November 22 to Wednesday, November 29, 2006, anyone with Internet access will be able to bid on animation-related items put on eBay by fps. These items include books, CD soundtracks, animation software, posters, DVDs, original artwork and more.

This auction directly benefits the Canadian Cancer Society. It is the reader choice for the second year in a row.

An international film and video festival in its third year accepts film and video entries in all genres from any part of the world. The event is held from the end of September to the first week of October in the beautiful capital city of Abuja, Nigeria. There are no entry fees as the festival accepts 35MM, Super 16MM, 16MM, DVCAM, HDCAM, etc.

DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival 2006

DC Asian Pacific American Film Festival has a mission to "bring attention to the creative output from Asian Pacific American (APA) and Asian Diasporic communities and encourage the artistic development of APA films in the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan region."
