Future Animators of the Future 3rd Annual (Animation and Video) FAFshow 2002
The FAFshow provides a showcase for Animators and Video Makers who wish to entertain and generally prod the audience into some sort reaction (whether it be positive or otherwise). You can check out the FAFsite www.fafcom.com to sample the type of work FAF generates.
The FAFshow screens in a number of major cities, and will have a hefty bit of guerilla marketing in NY and Boston
Accepted Formats: For entry purposes anything on NTSC mini-DV, NTSC DVcam, NTSC VHS, NTSC DVD, CD w/Quicktime compatible format, or CD w/Flash compatible (.swf) file
Brooklyn Underground Film Festival
With a modest budget and a lot of vision, the non-profit Brooklyn Underground Film Festival (BUFF) will define itself as the pre-eminent new voice in independent film showcases. Scheduled for October 10th-13th, it promises to offer the over-saturated festival circuit a fresh breath of Brooklyn air
KABOO!
KABOO! A noncompetitive festival spotlighting local talents in animation is looking for shorts to screen. Submissions must be under 10 minutes in length.VHS tapes are preferred but if your work is currently hosted on the web please email us the web address. San Juan Animation Festival
he San Juan Animation Festival invites all animators from around the world to submit an example of their work to largest event of its kind in the Caribbean. This is a non-competitive event which offers the opportunity to all animators to show their work to media professionals, production companies, advertising agencies, television networks and movie producers from the Latin American Market that will be attending the four day event.

The Kids First! Film Festival
The Kids First! Film Festival is a traveling celebration of the best in kids film and television. Corky Quakenbush Showcase
A showcase of work by filmmaker Corky Quakenbush (Space Bass Films) will be presented at this year's U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen Colorado (February 27- March 3, 2002). The program will consist of recently completed short stop-motion parodies such as "Bi-tanic" "Dirty River Dancing", "Castaway: A Woody Allen Film," and "Hannibal, You've Got Meal", as well as more well-known Quakenbush "classics" such as "Clops," "The Reinfather," and "Davey and Son of Goliath". Flashbang 4
Attention all designers, animators and digital film enthusiasts! An installation and screening of cinematic and interactive Flash films. This is the largest event of its kind held in the southeast and will featurecinematic Flash films on the big screen and also feature kiosks allowing attendees to explore interactive Flash media up close and personal.

Animated Exeter
Animated Exeter is an annual animation festival consisting of a fortnight of animated films, workshops, events and exhibitions every February. Tied to the British Animation Awards Public Choice - the festival hosts events for all ages and levels of professionalism.Screenings have been programmed by Jayne Piling of BAA. Events include careers day for budding animators, 3d, 2d and computer animation workshops, retrospectives, comic-book conventions, and cutting edge digital animations for the music industry.
Animation 2002
Animation 2002 will take place at the University of Teesside on January 31 and February 1 2002.
Following on from last years hugely successful events which brought together past-masters such as Ray Harryhausen and future stars like Michael Dudok De Wit, the 2002 event has a hard act to follow. However, it seems that organisers Chris Williams and Siobhan Fenton have managed to achieve the impossible. The line up of speakers and workshops is, to say the very least, impressive.
Sheila Graber Animated
As part of the AnimEX festival Sheila Graber will be talking about her life and career on Wed 30th Jan at 7pm Cinema, University of Teesside. The University of Teesside & Middlesbrough Council are proud to present a enw piece of work by North East Animator Sheila Graber. 'Lifelines' is Sheila's film created during her year as the University of Teesside's & Middlesbrough Council's Animator in Residence, and charts a personal , local journey which links up with global energies.
Uncle Reg's History of Animation Film Fest: Part One; Animation BM
From The Reg Hartt Animation Archive comes an in-depth look at Animation BM (Beyond Mickey Mouse).
Rare uncut 16mm prints of films by J. Stuart Blackton, Paul Terry, Emil Cohl, Winsor McCay, Max Fleischer, Walt Disney, Otto Mesmer, Ladislaus Starevitch, Raoul Barre, Tex Avery, Friz Freleng, Bob Clampett, Chuck Jones, Shamus Culhane, Walter Lantz and many more.
Screenings are Sundays at 4pm.

Future Animators Of The Future 2nd Annual Animation And Video Festival
The Future Animators of the Future (www.fafcom.com) is pleased to present the second annual FAF show. The show will run through November 2001, playing in Boston, New York City and San Francisco. It will be a great chance to meet some independent animation and video artists.
The festival is currently accepting submissions for up to ten minute video and animation shorts on digital media.
