The 1st Annual San Francisco World Film Festival
The 1st Annual San Francisco World Film Festival is designed to not only showcase a diverse variety of films from around the world, but also spotlight solutions to world issues as seen through the eyes of filmmakers. The World Solutions segment of the festival features films dealing with solutions to any issue that affects the world. Each show will address solutions. The Marketplace is focused on exploring the revolution that Digital Technologies are bringing to the film industry.
7th Hollywood Film Festival
The 7th Hollywood Film Festival is a celebration of the art of film. The event features a three-day Hollywood conference from October 17-19, featuring networking with Hollywood pros. Each year top executives, producers, agents and others from such companies as Columbia/TriStar, Paramount, Walt Disney, Miramax, New Line, Fox Searchlight, the Samuel Goldwyn Co., NBC, Overseas Filmgroup, CAA, ICM, Metropolitan, William Morris, Writers & Artists, and many others, participate as panelists. From October 17-19, HFF screens the finalist features, documentaries and shorts.

3rd Annual Metreon Festival Of Anime
Metreon-A Sony Entertainment Center presents the 3rd annual Metreon Festival of Anime from 10:00 am-11:00 pm. Metreon's Festival of Anime will offer hundreds of fans a chance to experience the latest anime in an energetic, social atmosphere. Festival-goers will preview the newest products in Bandai's newly-expanded Metreon shop, compete in costume and model building contest, and meet and interact with other anime fans, while viewing an line-up of the latest films inside Metreon's Action Theatre.

AnimeNext 2003
AnimeNext is an anime and manga convention that has branched into tech and video gaming. The event will feature voice acting guests, large dealers room, cosplay, a concert by Himawari, anime music video contest, dance, panels, workshops, manga room, game shows, 24-hour video rooms and videogaming. The guest of honor will be Takehiko Ito, creator of OUTLAW STAR. Workshops include sake tasting, cel painting, kimono workshop, drawing the manga way, shogi/go workshops and dubbing workshops.

eDIT / VES 2003, The European Festival for Production and Visual Effects
The 2nd eDIT/VES 2003: The European Festival for Production and Visual Effects is a congress of workshops, panels and talks by international experts and top creatives who will show where film is going in the 21st century and present the best visual effects from European feature films and current Hollywood productions. eDIT retains its well-tried structure of seven program blocks. Sponsored by Visual Effects Society (VES), the emphasis is content-oriented. The Art of Storytelling in the Digital Age is thus once again the focus of eDIT/VES 2003.

Asolo Art Film Festival
The Asolo Art Film Festival presents 363 films representing 31 countries. The event is dedicated to highlighting the art of cinema and increasing the cultural role of Asolo. The Asolo Art Film Festival will take place in Asolo, at the Teatro E. Duse, and Montebelluna, at the Cinema Italia Eden. The organizing body, under the artistic direction of Anna Maria Cerrato, has set the end of July for listing the definitive selection of works to be admitted to the competition.
Open Animation Screening in Toronto!
The Toronto Animated Image Society is welcoming animators to show their animated films at our annual open screening. Everyone is welcome to show their work. Mania Fest
CINESCAPE magazine presents Mania Fest 2003 which will celebrate the work of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and anime screenwriters and filmmakers. This four-day event will applaud the efforts and imagination of those who push the boundaries between reality and fiction, whether with nightmarish visions or views of other worlds.
Bra!nCamp 2003
Bra!nCamp is a high-level, cross-media conference specifically geared to major players in children's entertainment. Attending the event are senior executives, creative forces and movers and shakers in the kids' and family entertainment industry. The event includes eight presentations over two days, along with food, fun and social events. The atmosphere is loose and relaxed, no suits, no ties. Bra!nCamp is an intimate event and attendance is limited. Speakers and attendees interact during presentations, during breaks and during social events.
Woodstock Film Festival

Downstream Film Festival
Downstream's mission is to present work in film, video and digital formats in a maker-friendly festival in a laid-back setting. Future plans include our beginning a script conference in 2004. In marketing our call for entries, our target is to achieve a 50/50 ratio of female to male directors entering the competitions.
8th Milano Film Festival
This international film competition is open to short and feature films of any genre and format that have been produced in the years 2002 and 2003. World 3D Film Expo
SabuCat Productions will present the largest 3D tribute show ever at the Egyptian Theatre (6712 Hollywood Boulevard). The 10-day festival, which celebrates the golden era of 3D filmmaking, will include many of the best known 3D titles of the 1950's, such as BEANY & CECIL, HOUSE OF WAX, KISS ME KATE and CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON, but will also offer fans of the format an opportunity to see some of the more obscure 3D movies.
