Now in its third year, The Florida Media Market is hosting its annual Global Film & Media Conference in Miami Beach, Florida at the Alexander All-Suite Oceanfront Resort from Thursday, October 23 to Sunday, October 26. This international conference will lend for networking, learning, sharing ideas and building new artistic relationships.

The Hollywood Film Festival is comprised of 10 separate film festivals, including the Hollywood Animation Film Festival. The event was created to bridge the gap between established Hollywood and the global creative community, as well as to honor excellence in the art of filmmaking.

The Visual Amalgam Art Show offers the public a rare opportunity to see a collection of personal artwork created by visual effects professionals behind some of the biggest motion pictures at one of the premier art venues in the Los Angeles area.

anim'est - the romanian animation film festival is a competitive festival and it comprises 5 competitive categories: - feature animated films - short animated films - student animated films - music videoclips animated - national competition No entry fee. Freewaves' HollyWould... festival will take place in October 2008, in the perceived world capital of media on Hollywood Boulevard. The festival is looking for interesting works that represent an alternative to mainstream media or directly relate to Hollywood. Selected festival works will be installed in this urban hall of mirrors in screening rooms, art centers, stores, and vacant walls, intersecting with audiences where they live, recreate and shop.

The 5th Abuja International Film Festival and Market accepts films in the the following genres -- features, shorts, animation, experimental on video, 16MM, 35MM. There are no entry fees and the deadline for entry submission is June 30, 2008.

More than 6,600 press attended IFA 2007, including 1,371 international journalists from 62 countries. Sales at the 2007 show totaled 2.75 billion Euros. The number of trade visitors attending the show in 2007 jumped 7.5% to 101,358.
