The Garden State Film Festival was founded to promote the art of filmmaking on all levels by providing a wide variety of film, video and animated works, as well as to provide educational programs in the creative arts to the public by industry leaders.

Deadline for entries is February 15, 2003 with categories: Feature Length, Documentary, animation in both short and feature length, student short, Music Video and commercials.

The event will take place April 11-13th at the Paramount Theater on the boardwalk in Asbury Park, NJ.

36th Annual WorldFest-Houston Intl Film/Video Festival

Founded in August 1961, WorldFest is the 3rd oldest competitive International film festival in North America. We gave first honors and awards to Spielberg, George Lucas, Randall Kleiser, Ridley Scott, Ang Lee, The Coen Brothers, Robert Rodriguez and many more. We screen just 55 new features and around 100 new shorts, in 35mm and digital video DLP projection in a large commercial theatre complex. There is great networking as more than 450 intl filmmakers attend, and the general audience exceeds 25,000 in the 10 day event.

ARIZONA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL (April 3-13, 2003). the 12th edition of Arizona's premier film festival celebrates excellence and innovation in independent film and video. Festival 2003 is looking for new independent works from around the world to be a part of The Reel Frontier Film & Video Competition and the Indigenous Cinema showcase. Works must have been completed in 2002/2003 and be Arizona premieres. Categories include narrative features and shorts, documentary features and shorts, experimental and animation shorts.

International Festival of Cinema and Technology

The International Festival of Cinema and Technology will be continuing its touring festival in Toronto March 2003. The tour premiered in London and Paris in December 2002. The festival has a large animation and computer animation showcase which features a wide variety of projects from indie and first time filmmakers. The festival also will screen a variety of docs, dramas and comedies. The International Festival of Cinema and Technology uses new and emerging technologies to showcase films and videos.
