The Female Eye Film Festival (FeFF)is an annual international event that celebrates films directed by women. All genres are welcome. The FeFF gives women, who are under-represented in the film industry, the opportunity to showcase their work. In 2002, the FeFF launched the inaugural FeFF Screenwriters Program. Films must be directed by women and preference is given to scripts that are written by female scribes. Entry fee for film submisions is $20.00. Screenplays are $15.00. IFP/Chicago will be holding the 12th Annual Independent Filmmakers Conference, a weekend-long event featuring panels and seminars about timely and important independent filmmaking topics presented by renowned filmmakers. A major conference highlight, IFP/Chicago's Production Fund, an in-kind donation of equipment and services valued at $85,000, is considered the biggest grant for independent filmmakers in the Midwest.
