Chicago International Children's Film Festival 2007
Now in its 24th year, The Chicago International Children's Film Festival is the largest and longest running festival of films for children in the U.S. Last year the festival screened 220 films and videos from 40 countries for audiences of 24,000 children and families. It is the only Academy Award qualifying children's festival in the world. Each year the festival scours the globe to present an outstanding selection of the best animation, live action, experimental and child produced film for children 2-19. Entertainment for All Expo (E for All) 2007
Entertainment for All Expo (E for All) is a new event created for people who are passionate about videogames and everything related. The expo was launched in response to strong demand within the consumer audience for an opportunity to see and try new products before they reach store shelves. Event organizers anticipate its mid-October dates will launch an early and successful holiday shopping season for the industry.
Big Bang Film Festival 2007
Big Bang Film Festival is a celebration of exciting and inventive films in the Action, Adventure, Suspense and Asian Action Cinema genres. BBFF will showcase amazing films, some classics, some classics in the making. Hollywood Film Festival 2007
The Hollywood Film Festival is comprised of 10 separate film festivals, including the Hollywood Animation Film Festival. The event was created to bridge the gap between established Hollywood and the global creative community, as well as to honor excellence in the art of filmmaking.
The Hollywood Animation Film Festival is a competitive film festival. Its mandate is to highlight both domestic and international animated films and to make sure that filmmakers get visibility in Hollywood's backyard. Selected animated films compete in the Festival's main competition.
Zenkaikon
Zenkaikon is the Philadelphia-area anime and scifi con that formed out of a merger between Kosaikon and Zentrancon. In 2007 (its second year as a merged event), it offers a plethora of events such as panels, guests, anime and sci-fi showings, concerts,video games, cosplay, AMV contests, vendors and artists and much more.
Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF) 2007
The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) will launch the Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF). In addition to the festival, they are also launching the Abu Dhabi Film Commission (ADFC), which has an ambitious plan to provide an unmatched range of services and incentives to attract filmmakers.

The World Cyber Games (WCG), the recognized leader for international videogame competitions, will hold the 2007 Grand Finals at Qwest Field in Seattle, Washington. A who's who of video gaming's most talented players from around the world will be representing their countries as they battle it out in the biggest games on Xbox 360 and PC.
Chiller "Dare To Direct" Short Film Contest
NBC Universal Cable is hosting the Chiller "Dare To Direct" Short Film Contest. It challenges fans to get creative and compete for great prizes and a chance to be featured on "Chiller's Dare to Direct Film Festival" as they write, produce and submit short horror films. Shorts will be judged in the categories of Best Picture, Creepiest Character and Scariest Special Effects. Viewers vote online to select five finalists in each category, and a top TV producer will select final winners. Films can be uploaded from Sept. 5-17, and voting for each category will take place from Sept. 21 to Oct. 1.
2007 DIY Book Festival
The 2007 DIY Book Festival will host its fifth annual program celebrating the success of independent authors and publishers.
The DIY Book Festival will consider self-published or independent publisher non-fiction, fiction, biography/autobiography, children's books, teenage, how-to, audio/spoken word, photography, art, comics, 'zines, fan fiction, poetry and e-books published on or after Jan. 1, 2005.
eDward 2007
eDward - The Young Filmmaker's Award is the international Film-Competition for young talents up to 30 and is announced by eDIT 10. Filmmaker's Festival. Prove your talent and creativity with a 30-second-film and win prizes up to 2,500 Euro. The Competition is open to young filmmakers up to 30. They must have been born on or after Jan. 1, 1977. Students, agency juniors and free film-creative especially are called worldwide to take part individually or in teams.

The mission of the Coney Island Film Festival is to raise funds for the non-profit arts organization Coney Island USA and to present an engaging and entertaining program of films in the heart of Brooklyn's most storied neighborhood.

2007 PopVox Awards
New Media BC announced it will produce and present the first annual PopVox Awards honoring excellence in digital media. Entries can be submitted via the awards website, www.popvoxawards.com, through Sept. 7. Winners will be determined via online votes, which can be submitted Sept. 8-17 through the site. Winners will receive their honors on Sep. 22, at the opening gala celebration for the Vancouver International Digital Festival.
Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF 07)
The Ottawa International Animation Festival (OIAF 07) is the premiere animation festival in North America. Independent, commercial, and student animators working in a variety of media submit their work, under eight umbrella categories; including independent short films, feature films, new media, music videos, commercials, TV shows, student films, films for children and the TELETOON Canadian Student Animation Scholarship.

Cartoon Forum 2007
Every year more than 250 potential investors -- all interested in animation -- attend the Cartoon Forum. This includes more than 100 broadcasters and 150 investors/video editors who have the advantage of getting a sneak preview of the latest animation projects for the television from 31 different European countries.
More than 300 projects (for a total budget of more than 1 billion EUR) presented at the Cartoon Forum have secured their financing and are now in production or being broadcasted worldwide.
Cartoon Tributes
The Catalonian city of Girona is hosting the second annual Cartoon Tributes, the European Association of Animation Film's recognition of companies' contribution to the development of the European animation industry. Created in 2006, the Cartoon Tributes has three categories: Broadcaster of the Year, Investor/Distributor of the Year and Producer of the Year. The winners are voted on by the more than 750 participants in the 18th Cartoon Forum, which will be celebrated this year Sept. 19-22 in Girona.
2007 Valley Film Festival
Founded in 2000, The Valley Film Festival, a project of Community Partners, holds the proud title of the first film festival in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley and is designed to bring together established filmmakers, emerging talent, and their audiences on the studio backlot -- just North of Hollywood.
Fantoche 07
Fantoche, the International Show of Animation Film, will be held in Baden near Zurich for the sixth time. The biannual film festival is one of world's most accomplished and distinguished for animation film. It is also the largest event of its kind in Switzerland.
The Epic Comic Con 2007
Held at the Radisson Orlando-Celebration, Epic Comic Con is a comicbook and comic collectibles show. The 5,000-square-foot dealers room will host 100 plus eight foot tables to accommodate dealers from all over the nation.
