Texas High School Film Competition

Bristol School of Animation Storyboarding Competition

The Bristol School of Animation at the University of the West of England and Aardman Animations join forces for the annual storyboarding competition for 2008. Entrants are asked to produce an It can be serious, touching, funny, even a spoof, but it must be thirty seconds long with a three-second pack shot at the end and no longer than 20 frames. First prize is a free place to study either 2D drawn or 3D Stop Motion Pro in Bristol School of Animation's "Three Month Animation Course" running from June until September 2008. The prize includes accommodation.

Babelgum Online Film Festival

Super Smash Bros. Brawl Tournament

Just before the launch of the much-anticipated Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Mario and friends are hosting four regional Wii tournaments. The competitions will visit San Francisco, Boston and New York for a Midnight Madness Launch event at the Best Buy store at 622 Broadway in New York. All of the 256 participants at each location will receive a $10 Best Buy gift card. One lucky grand prize winner will receive a custom-designed, crystal-covered Wii, a home theater system from Best Buy and a copy of the game.
