Purpose: The purpose of this conference is to discuss production/perception of emotions contained in the human voice and technological applications. The conference focuses on how vocal emotions are produced and perceived, what are the minimal cues defining specific vocal emotions, how are these emotions produced by live and virtual actors, what is the impact vocal emotions (i.e. of cartoon voices) on listeners in a cross-cultural, gender and age context, and how production of expected vocal emotions is hindered by disease and by technological constraints. These monthly 4-hour Workshops are only $25 per class. Each class will teach you everything you need to build a great foundation in film and video production. You'll learn everything from basic script writing to nonlinear editing, distribution, and more.

You'll also be learning from award winning, 12 year production veterain, and CA Credentialed instructor Jarrett Grimes. Jarrett's lectured for Videomaker Magazine, SCROC, El Segundo High School, Palos Verdes Intermediate, and El Camino College.

M.J. Lallo is teaching a new Beginning Voice-Over Commercial Class. Attendees will learn how to interpret and read all types of commercial copy, including singles, duos and groups. Classes will cover: commercials narration, books on tape, corporate and infomercials. The essential techniques covered include breathing, physicalization, voice stretching and voice placement.
