The West Coast Student Film Festival invites all college, university and graduate student filmmakers around the globe to submit original work into the competition. There is no entry fee. Categories for entry are: Animation, Fiction and Non Fiction. This year's theme is "Overcoming Obstacles." Entries may be shot on any format but must be submitted in 1/2 inch VHS format. The festival will be featuring several winning films from each category, as well as top films in areas of cinematography, editing (sound/visuals), directing, acting, screenplay and soundtrack. A highly publicized, international event, the West Coast Student Film Festival will have many filmmakers and important professionals in attendance. Tickets will be made available to the public for the festival, starting in December 2001.
