Park City, Utah welcomes back Slamdance for a showcase of raw and innovative filmmaking.
Founded in 1995, Slamdance has always been a festival for both up-and-coming writers, directors, and producers as well as industry veterans. Created by filmmakers for filmmakers, the festival offers support for independents and provides a platform to launch their careers.
With thousands of submissions every year, the festival chooses roughly 100 films to showcase in its film programs. These range from the narrative and documentary programs to the ever-popular experimental and anarchy categories.
With Sundance running at the same time, just a stone’s throw away, Slamdance is often referred to as “a vital alternative” because of their tradition of welcoming films on any subject, in any language, from anywhere in the world.
