Playhouse Pictures Cel Sale!

Playhouse Pictures, one of Hollywood's oldest animation studios, is having a moving sale. The sale will include 45 years of animation paraphernalia from TV and film including vintage animation drawings and cels, background paintings, storyboards, color models, story sketches, cereal boxes, toys and even some animation equipment. The sale will also be open to the general public on Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25. Playhouse was established in 1952 and has been doing commercial animation and movie titles ever since. They set up shop at their La Brea location in 1957. This is the first time they have offered their art for sale to the public.
